Board of Studies (BoS):
Responsible for designing the curriculum, updating courses, and recommending changes to the academic programs.
Research Committee:
Oversees research activities within the department, including grants, publications, and research collaborations.
Academic Council:
Sets academic policies, approves new programs, and oversees the implementation of academic regulations.
Faculty of Architecture, Dr. M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute at the university level has been accredited by the (NAAC) National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an A+ in 2022.
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the Government of India to rank institutions of higher education in India. The rankings are based on several parameters, including teaching, learning, and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the University was established after the first cycle of accreditation with a composition of members chaired by the Head of the Institution as per the NAAC guidelines. The Quality culture is institutionalised through steering committee meeting, quality circle meetings and University meetings by fixing agendas on various academic criteria and it’s internalised through Departmental meetings. IQAC facilitate institution towards academic excellence consciously, consistently and act as a catalyst to promote research and other academic activities.
The standards of education being imparted by Faculty of Architecture is governed by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi constituted by the Government of India under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972.Council of Architecture (Minimum Standards of Architectural Education) Regulations, 1983, has set forth the requirement of eligibility for admission, course duration, standards of staff & accommodation, course content, examination etc. The COA oversees the maintenance of the standards periodically by way of conducting inspections through Committees of Experts.
