Our Story

Department of Architecture, Dr M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute was instituted in the year 1993 with the intent to a multidimensional approach in providing education in architecture. 

Upon achieving its prestigious status of deemed to be university in the year2003, there was a renewed focus and emergence of ideas for change.

The Department of Architecture attained its Faculty of Architecture status in 2011 and has been continuously evolving as a global leader in imparting architectural education.

We celebrated our Pearl Anniversary in 2023 continuing to focus on upholding the essence of empowering brilliant and creative minds, taking it to the world beyond ordinary.

The Faculty of Architecture runs UG, PG and Ph.D programs. FoA launched DesignPrograms under the Department of Design.
